Supporting Surfers Against Sewage
Between 2nd–8th June, £1 from every ecommerce purchase of Davines Essential Haircare and SU products will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage via Work for Good. This grassroots UK charity is fighting to protect the ocean from plastic pollution, climate change, and water contamination.
Founded by Cornish surfers in 1990, Surfers Against Sewage remains committed to real action, pushing for systemic change from government and industry to safeguard our seas for future generations.
Why Water Matters – And What Davines is Doing
Water is life. It nourishes ecosystems, sustains our health, and shapes our world. Yet today, our oceans and rivers are under increasing pressure from pollution and overconsumption.
Davines is taking measurable steps to reduce their water footprint, including a goal to cut water consumption by 50% by 2030 in their headquarters, Davines Village. This includes installing an advanced waterloop system to recycle up to 70% of wastewater.
On top of that, Davines partners with Plastic Bank to ensure a 1:1 balance between the plastic used and the plastic collected from the environment – an approach rooted in eco-design and circularity.
